What we collect
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| You send an enquiry through our website form | Your name, email address, your message, and anything else you choose to tell us |
| You book a course or module | Your name, email address and the details the booking form asks for |
| You pay | Payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We see that you paid and the last four digits of the card, not the full card number. |
| You attend a class | Your name as it appears in the online class, and whether you attended |
| You join our mailing list | Your name and email address |
| You email or call us | What you tell us |
| You use our website | How you use the site, such as which pages you visit. If you type your email address, phone number or address into a form on our website, Google Analytics may also collect it in a scrambled (hashed) form. See “Cookies and analytics”. |
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details. Please don’t send it in an enquiry.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry.
- To take your booking, run your classes and record your CPD points when you complete each module.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records.
- To tell you about new courses and dates, only if you have joined our mailing list.
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it, and to measure how well our advertising works.
Sending an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with:
- Your employer, if they booked your place. We may tell them whether you attended and completed the course.
- The service providers we use to run BPP. These are our website host and its spam check on the enquiry form, our email and email delivery providers, our booking system, our payment processor (Stripe), our online class platform, our mailing list service, our customer records system, and Google Analytics. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.
Most of these providers are based overseas, so your information is likely to be stored or processed outside Australia, mainly in the United States. Our customer records are stored in Australia.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
- Google Analytics uses cookies (such as
_ga) to measure how the website is used, such as which pages are visited. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. - If you type your email address, phone number or address into a form on our website, Google Analytics may detect it and send it to Google in a scrambled (hashed) form. We use this only to measure how well our website and advertising work. We do not see these details in Google Analytics.
- Our website host also counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
- The spam check on our enquiry form does not use tracking cookies.
- YouTube videos load only when you press play. Once they do, Google’s privacy policy applies.
How we keep it safe
Your information is kept with the providers above, which use encryption and access controls. Access within BPP is limited to the people who need it. Our website does not keep a copy of your enquiry. The form emails it straight to our inbox; our email delivery provider keeps a delivery record for a limited time.
We keep booking and payment records for 7 years, to meet tax and business record-keeping rules. We delete or de-identify other information when we no longer need it.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email hello@brokerperformancepartners.com.au. There is no charge. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Questions or complaints
Email hello@brokerperformancepartners.com.au or call (02) 7209 3090. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
